SEPTEMBER MEETINGS

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 29th September 2010 @ 7.30pm.
Amongst the items on the agenda will be to collate the entries for the J Haywood Cup Competiton which was a big success last season and depending on the numbers, maybe formulate the draw. Entry sheet is up on the notice board as of now, open to all members (please enter as individuals, pairings will be decided by a draw).
Also the possibility of holding another competition evening evening similar to the ever-popular Christmas Party Night but with slightly different games was suggested, maybe to take place in either November or March when the dark nights were still in the ascendancy.
There was a good take-up of interest for players wishing to represent the club in the coming season's Darley Dale and Orme Snooker League, and at present it looks like there could be three teams with captains being Ricki Slack, Shaun Bunting and Jason Fretwell.
Also not forgetting best wishes from all the members to long standing chairman Alan Hopkinson for his ongoing recuperation period.
Plus a reminder the Institute will be closed for normal business between 7-9pm on Thursday 30th September 2010 as the Bolehill Improvement Group will be staging one of their quarterly meetings on the premises.
